Wonder Woman #50 is an issue of the series Wonder Woman (Volume 1) with a cover date of November, 1951.

Synopsis for "Menace of the Master Spy"

Trixia detonates an atomic weapon, unsuccessfully disguising the blast as a volcanic eruption. Wonder Woman witnesses this and alerts U.S. Military Intelligence. At a meeting in his office, General Darnell plans to infiltrate the Trixian spy ring operating in Washington, but his own organization has already been infiltrated, by the Trixian master spy, General Voro, the Man of a Thousand Faces, who has kidnapped and impersonated Lt. Lane. So this plan backfires, and Darnell is fed a bunch of misinformation, along with (as part of his own plan) being disgraced and discharged from the Air Force. Then in an accidental encounter with Wonder Woman, a Trixian spy is killed with his own hand grenade, and Darnell is badly wounded. Wonder Woman makes some correct deductions, spots "Lt. Lane" as a phony, and stealthily follows him to his secret underground lair, but steps onto an electrified floor and is captured. The spies unwisely dispose of her and Lt. Lane by tossing them into an underground waterway. She rescues Lane and he tips her off about the fake info, and reveals the spy gang's real targets. Wonder Woman flies to the three sabotage targets, and foils all three attacks.

Wonder Woman then calls an impromptu press conference at General Darnell's hospital room and publicly vouches for him, clearing him of the fake charges against him.
