Wonder Woman #793 is an issue of the series Wonder Woman (Volume 1) with a cover date of January, 2023. It was published on November 8, 2022.
Synopsis for "Walk Among Us"
Superman and Wonder Woman investigates the decommissioned Justice League Watchtower, where it was discovered to be sending a mysterious signal. Batman arrived late wearing a space suit, greets them both and immediately begins his investigation. Superman hears scratching noises from an air vent, and they all crawled in to investigate. Wonder Woman busts open a grate into another room, where they discover Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern, the Flash and Aquaman waiting. The trinity is suspicious of the group. Wonder Woman tricks Martian Manhunter into stepping into her lasso, where he reveals his true identity, a member of the Imperium army lying in wait for the armada to arrive.
The heroes do battle, with Batman defeating the villains quickly, while Superman and Wonder Woman catch up. As they fight, Batman reveals that they all thought Wonder Woman was going to quit the Justice League and permanently move back to Themyscira. Wonder Woman affirms that her place is with the League as the last of the Imperium soldiers were defeated.
Later, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman all sit on the couch drinking coffee. Batman offers his condolences on the passing of Hippolyta, and Wonder Woman affirms that her mother is at peace. Batman and Superman then treat her to some of Martian Manhunter's chocolate cookies, hidden behind a metal plate.
Later still, the trinity converses with the Imperium soldiers. Though initially hostile, Superman tells them the chances of the Armada coming for them are slim, and offers them a place to stay on Earth. The trinity then looks out at Earth, and they affirm their values. Batman sees the Earth as his duty to protect them, Superman sees potential in the development of humankind. Wonder Woman observes that they all share the same vision, and that is hope.
