Synopsis for "Year One, Finale"
The God of War descended to the realm of mortals, attacking the military base where Diana was in and taking Steve Trevor, trying to pick from his mind the location of Themyscira. Seeing he cannot tell him the information he wants, Ares accepts the proposal of Diana: she will give him her mind and memories in exchange of peace for the world of men. As Ares scans Diana's mind, the patrons of the Amazons, in the form of animals, gather around: the God of War is enraged when he discovers that the decision of Diana to leave as the Amazons' champion left her with no memory of how to access Themyscira. Ares then starts a monologue about how the men living in this world grow in adoration of his dictations, of the very thing he represents. They even create agents like the Maru Virus to enhance their already natural thirst for blood and violence. What does Diana think she can do to save these people? The world is already in Ares' hands.
But Diana answers that she was sent as champion of the Amazons to take the world back from his grasp, and then she attacks him, supported by all the patrons, and successfully disperses him thanks to the Lasso of Truth. With Ares banished temporarily from this plane of existence, the patrons then give Etta Candythe plans of the SEAR Group, about to spread the Maru Virus in different parts of the world. Thankfully, Diana is fast enough to stop all the attacks, including one in an american school when she is able to resist the effect of the Virus herself, dissipating it with the Lasso. As Steve brings her back home, he tells Diana the media found a name for her: the name of Wonder Woman.
