Synopsis for "Heart of the Amazon, Part Three"
Arlington General Hospital
After saluting Dr. Crawford on her grave, Diana goes to the Arlington General to retrive and bring Etta Candy home, after a successful rehabilitation. Etta does not understand why Diana went to salute Crawford after what she did to her and her brother, but Diana tells her she had to do it because the woman wanted only a chance at living, a thing she was not able to give her. Still, the two reach Etta's apartment.
Home of Commander Etta Candy, Georgetown, Washington D.C.
While washing Etta's dishes, Diana breaks one and her friend knows she has something to share: Diana is afraid about the mortality of Etta and Steve. One day, they'll die and she won't be able to do anything about it. As Etta tries to comfort her, a sniper tries to kill Diana but she stops she bullet, then she proceeds to reach the assassin, a girl. The two engage in a fight and then Diana wraps her around with the Lasso of Truth, discovering her name is Mayfly, and that she's a test subject for an organization who gives out powers. The high-ups of this organization put out a bounty for the body of Wonder Woman, and it was so much money that if she pulled off the whole thing, she would not need to work anymore. After tying up Mayfly, Diana and Etta prepare for conflict as a crow, the messenger of Apollo, advises Diana about the imminent attack of many more killers: getting out of Etta's apartment, five hitmen wait to strike Wonder Woman to death.
