Synopsis for "Amazons Attacked, Part One"

The Amazon Jungle

Darkseid welcomes back the three returning Female Furies, telling them he is enraged and disappointed: they failed at retrieving an object from a museum full of dust, and just because a group of mere men where there to fight them. He would like to kill all three of them, but being he cannot still call for other better agents like DeSaad or Kalibak, he will stop himself and let them have only one more opportunity to do his bidding. He needs to build a mysterious system inside the temple of the Amazon Jungle, a place that the New Gods built when they first walked on Earth. After all, it is not Earth herself he is interested in: when the Island of Themyscira left the planet, the place became useless to him.

Argus Homestaging HQ, Virginia

Diana and Steve finally are together again: they talk about their recent missions, with Diana saving Washington D.C. from a series of Veronica Cale financed new superpowered villains and Steve fighting Furies and Parademons in a race between A.R.G.U.S. and Darkseid to retrieve the missing relics Giganta revealed to be the main interest of the ruler of Apokolips. But Steve senses more: he knows Diana is troubled for something. He inquires if the death of Zeus might be the thing, but it is not: Diana is afraid about the mysterious decision of Jason, leaving everything behind with an excuse. He is untrained and undisciplined: what if he died or if he was once again corrupted by Grail's schemes? Steve tells Diana to not be afraid about him, that everything will turn out fine for both. In that moment, Jason himself comes flying down from the sky, suited in a new armor and with a determined look. He tells Diana he's back, and the Amazon is stunned from his new demeanor. What could have happened to change him so quickly?
