Synopsis for "Fury, Part 4"

Wonder Woman eats an apple while resting her back against the rebuilt Washington Monument. When she finishes her meal, she calmly walks to the White House, ready to begin her attack on the Sovereign's final stronghold. Her friends, the Wonder Girls, have remained behind to protect her daughter while Wonder Woman fights her most personal battle.

At the Oval Office, the President frantically tries to call for every soldier and weapon he has available to stop Wonder Woman. The Sovereign himself sits on the President's desk, while Grail looks through the window and stands guard against his enemies. A group of soldiers, armed with anti-metahuman weapons, open fire against Wonder Woman, but she is unaffected and continues her walk. Grail, unimpressed by the humans' futile effort leaves the Oval Office and goes out to meet Wonder Woman personally. She ignores the Sovereign's demand to always remain at his side, for she believes that this battle concerns gods and women, not weak mortals like him.

Wonder Woman walks into the White House's front lawn and stands before Sergeant Steel again. Outfitted with another cybernetic hand, Steel tells Wonder Woman that his forces are keeping some Amazons hostage and for every step she takes, one of them will die. Wonder Woman replies that Batman has already discovered his plan and the Flash rescued the hostages, so he has no power over her. She tears off his hand out of his socket and kneels him in the nose before continuing her walk.

At the Oval Office, the President continues to berate his officers while the Sovereign scratches a painting of George Washington, the only person who had ever resisted the Lasso of Lies, before Wonder Woman.

The next obstacle in Wonder Woman's way is General Glory, a superhero working for the government. Despite his patriotic fervor, Wonder Woman knocks him to the ground with a single punch. She takes the American flag and plants it into the ground, for she has respect for that symbol and would not rather see it tainted by someone working for the Sovereign.

Grail finally stands before Wonder Woman and has the audacity to ask what "Wonder Woman" even means. Diana admits that she doesn't know, only that it was that name given to her by the American people. Grail wants to get a reaction out of Wonder Woman and tells him that her beloved Steven was a simpleton, unworthy of a goddess like her. Wonder Woman ignores her and lets Cheetah handle Grail while she enters the White House.

The President has already left the Oval Office, at the insistence of his agents, and the Sovereign is left alone to confront his greatest enemy, with no one left to protect him.
