Synopsis for "The Island of Mice and Men Part Four"

At an assembly held by the American government, an old man named Ernest Pye begins to speak to the gathered men and women. He explains that his wife died during a Crisis involving superheroes and elaborates that he does not blame superheroes for her death but he has come to believe that regular people should have a place where they can be free from the influence and actions of superheroes. A place where regular people can be happy and living together in peace.

Carl Dentor, the Mouse Man, happens to be in that crowd, and as people begin to be taken to Moray Island by ship, he meets Pye himself. Holding a mouse cage with him, Carl says that, much like Pye, he also had problems with superheroes before, especially a particular woman, so he wants to live in a place where superheroes can leave them alone. Pye replies that the government has established a place where people like themselves can be free from superhuman influence and, as the ship sets sail for Moray Island, Carl says that he has done mistakes in the past and wants start over. Pye replies that, in their new home, Carl can get the clean slate he wants, as long as he does not put on a rubber suit and starts taking the law into his own hands.

Unfortunately, life at Moray Island is not nearly as idyllic as Carl and Pye hoped. Crime has been steadily rising and the law is not effective enough to protect the inhabitants. That is when the Mouse Man takes action. He deploys his rats to violently dispose of any criminals that disturb the peace. He gathers like-minded followers, dressed like mice, and tells them that their enemies as people who believe themselves above the law, the fat cats.

In time, Mouse Man overthrows the weak government of Moray Island and proclaims himself ruler. His enforcers, both mice and men, start patrolling the streets and brutally disposing of anyone who speaks out against Mouse Man, including Pye. One of soldiers informs Mouse Man that, to avoid any possible opposition to their control, perhaps they should impose guidelines on which kind of speech is allowed among the people of Moray Island. This gives Mouse Man the idea of ordering the masses to speak only in two sentences: "Mouse Man knows" and "mice have ears".

In the present, Wonder Woman attacks the Mouse Man's stronghold all by herself and demands the tyrant to fight her. A squad of mice and man ambush her but they do not last long against the Amazon Princess, who feels bad that she has to hurt innocent animals just to force their leader to come out of hiding. Mouse Man decides to confront Wonder Woman directly and Wonder Woman responds by throwing her tiara directly. Much to her shock, Mouse Man grabs the tiara before it can hit him and he breaks it with just one hand.

The two enemies engage in a brawl, with Mouse Man proving to be just as strong as Wonder Woman and denouncing her as yet another fat cat who underestimates him. The brawl is fierce and Wonder Woman does not come out unscathed but she ultimately defeats Mouse Man. She tells him to surrender, lest she cover his mouth with her lasso, but Mouse Man replies that, once again, she has underestimated him. He reveals his last trump card: Lizzie, Wonder Woman's daughter, has been captured. In her obsession to stop Mouse Man, Wonder Woman had forgotten that on his island, even mice have ears.
