Kate is searching for the reporter Angelica Chan, the only person who stood by her when she was dismissed from the United States Army for being a lesbian, after she goes missing while investigating Jeune Clé. She learns about the company having security, something suspicious for someone engaged in skin-care business, and has a partnership with Janus Corporation which has ties to organized crime.

After searching their premises as Batwoman, she discovers that the company is illegally experimenting on destitute people and migrants whom it has kidnapped. She also discovers that they're holding Angelica. As one of the guards talks about killing the reporter, Black Mask catches Kate unawares and kicks her off the ledge, causing her to fall into Angelica's cell.

Kate is subdued while Black Mask reveals Jeune Clé is just a front for Janus Corporation and the employees already know what's going on but no one cares. Angelica however attacks the guards, allowing Kate to knock out Black Mask and have all the test subjects freed. When Batwoman states that the staff won't be punished and pretend ignorance, Angelica states that Black Mask was wrong and there are people like Kate who do care for what's right.

Synopsis for "Exit Interview"

This story is reprinted from Batwoman/Supergirl: World's Finest Giant #1.

Cat Grant fires Kara after the influencers, who were invited for a phot shoot, trash her office while Kara had mysteriously disappeared yet again. Kara pleads with Cat but she states that she is the worst intern CatCo ever had and can never do anything on time or is always inattentive even when she is working.

As Kara starts crying after leaving the CatCo office, Superman takes her to Daily Planet to hear out what happened. Kara regrets that she has to live up to his cousin's legacy, unlike her life on Krypton which was far more simple. Superman asks what caused her to take up internship at CatCo, stating he's a reporter since he wants to find out the truth and people are a source of that.

Kara however states that humans are petty and selfish, but Superman still stands by what he said about them. He suggests that she try to find another way as she doesn't have to be a reporter because he is. Heeding her cousin's words, Kara decides to apply for a job at S.T.A.R. Labs.
