Years have passed since Kal-El, Jr. and Bruce Wayne, Jr. were small kids and now they are big kids. Their parents are proud of them, but when they seemingly start misbehaving and creating mischief for no apparent reason, they are punished and grounded for their irresponsible attitude, almost missing out on their camping trip.

However, the kids act normaly for a while and they are rewarded with a camping trip with Superman and Batman. Unfortunately, the kids once again start creating trouble and they are scolded again. Feeling that they are being unjustly treated, the boys decide to escape. However, not long after this, they apparently return with their fathers and apologize. Superman and Batman decide to take the boys with them on their missions in order to teach them how to behave and improve their skills. Much to their dismay, the kids make serious mistakes, but unknwown to them, the kids are sabotaging their missions on purpose. When they decide to take the kids on a mission together, they are confronted some criminals armed with a machine coated with Kryptonite, which makes Superman weak, but Kal Jr. seems invulnerable. When Batman and Superman are grabbed by the crooks, the kids do nothing to help them and instead they laugh at them. At that moment, the real Superman Jr. and Batman Jr. appear and rescue their parents.

When the crisis is averted and the crooks have been captured, the real super-sons try to reveal their fake counterparts real identities, but the resemblace is too uncanny. Bruce Wayne, Jr. comes up with a plan to force the fate Kal Jr. into reading his name backwards and so, Mxyzptlk, Jr. is revealed and returned to his own dimension. When he is gone, Bat-Mite, Jr. reveals himself as the fake Batman Jr. and apologizes for the mischief created, telling the heroes that it was all part of Mxyzptlk, Jr.'s plan. After their names are cleared, the Super-Sons and their fathers enjoy a good camping day.
