Synopsis for Super Sons: "Cry Not for My Forsaken Son!"
Despite their previous successes as super heroes, Clark Kent, Jr and Bruce Wayne, Jr. are forbidden to continue their crime-fighting careers. However, the stubborn young men decide not to heed their parents' advice and they go out there to fight crime. On their adventure, they come across a troubled young man named Danny Orr, who much like them, had a falling out with his family.
Superman Jr. and Batman Jr. decide to help Danny and they learn that he is an adopted child, his mother is dead, and that his adoptive father, Jack Orr, is a doorman at a hotel while his real father, Mark King, is one of the wealthiest men in Gotham City. Lured by King's wealth and luxuries, Danny abandons Orr, without considering he was the man who raised him, and goes to live with King.
Batman Jr. does some detective work and discovers that both Mark King and Jack Orr were once friends and prospecting partners who had both loved the same woman, Anne, but King eventually won out and married her. It was while the pair were prospecting in central America that King received news that Anne had died in childbirth, but he was more concerned about making a big emerald find than going back to take care of his son. Because King was the mineral expert, Orr believed he could be more easily spared and, because he had also loved Anne, volunteered to go back instead to take care of Danny. King had eventually made a huge emerald strike during his search for riches, almost completely forgetting his son, while Orr raised Danny. When King claimed the emerald mine for himself, Orr was too proud to ask for a share and, knowing King had become corrupt, decided to bring Danny up straight.
Fortunately, the truth about Mark King comes to light when his slavery ring is uncovered by the Super-Sons. They travel to Central America, where Danny has been sent as King's personal representative, and find that the mine that makes most of King's wealth is run by mercenaries who force the miners to work in subhuman conditions. The Super-Sons take Danny to witness the truth about Mark King's empire and once in the mine, they come across Jack Orr, who is working as an undercover agent for the Government to dismantle the criminal operation. Back in Gotham, King is exposed and Danny returns to his adoptive father Jack Orr, who might still be a regular man, but at least he is honest. After this adventure, the Super-Sons learn to respect their own parents.
