Synopsis for Super Sons: "The Girl Whom Time Forgot"

Batman Jr. and Superman Jr. make amateur mistakes trying to help their fathers out of boredom. For this reason, Batman and Superman arrange for their sons to travel on an expedition with a notorious archaeologist, Professor Roger Hanson, and his son, Lance. During their adventure, the Super Sons are challenged to solve the mystery of a lost ancient Mayan city (named Mayan-75 by Hanson), which they discover is inhabited only by Mayan king Hunab Ku and his daughter Mimaya. Lance and Mimaya quickly fall in love much to the dismay of King Hanab Ku. The king reveals that he has captured professor Hanson and imprisoned him to atone for his sins. In the meantime the super sons arrive in the city and they are kept busy dealing with preset traps including an underwater bout between Batman and a huge crocodile. After the battle Batman announces that he found something at the bottom of the lake that might help solve the mystery of the ancient city. They rush back to the ancient Mayan pyramid where they find the king about to sacrifice Lance. The super sons bring a stop to the king but they notice that he has a vaccination mark on his upper arm. This proves that the ancient king is not an authentic Mayan. Batman then reveals that he found the wreck of an airplane at the bottom of the lake while battling the crocodile. The airplane tale had markings on it that read “Itzlan Expedition”. Professor Hanson then declares that he now knows that King Hunab Ku is really Paul Somerset his former partner on the Itzlan Expedition. The King admits that he is indeed Paul Somerset and begins telling the tale of what happened all those years ago. The two men had explored the ancient ruins together but Somerset had to leave the expedition to fly his pregnant wife to a hospital. As they were flying, the plane carrying Somerset and his wife crashes into a water reservoir. Somerset survived but his wife perished after giving birth. Somerset later inspects the airplane wreckage at the bottom of the reservoir and discovers that the plane had been deliberately sabotaged. He concludes that the plane was sabotaged by Hanson to take credit for discovering the ancient ruins on his own. Hanson confesses to the crime after Superman rescues Lance and Mimaya from plunging to their deaths over a waterfall. He promises turn himself in the the law to face punishment.
