Batman is summoned to Cape Canaveral to investigate the possibility of sabotage of a new space weapon program. During his investigation, Batman is attacked by a female trio called the Moon Dancers, whose goal is the destruction of all weapons on Earth. Despite their super-abilities and advanced weapons, Batman gets the upper hand against them until they use a gas against Batman, which they believe will only incapacitate him. Making good their escape, the Moon Dancers leave and Batman is infected with a deadly virus.

In order to save Batman's life, the NASA scientist summon Superman, who learns the origin of the mysterious plague and goes looking for a cure in outer space. When Superman retrieves the cure, he takes the energy back to Earth and proceeds to cure his friend. However, Superman is unaware that it was all part of a plan from whoever is controlling the Moon Dancers, in order to steal the energy Superman has brought to Earth, with th purpose of eradicating all nuclear weapons from Earth.

When the energy source is stolen, Batman and Superman follow the Moon Dancers to an observatory and a confrontation between them starts. The heroes gain the upper hand until Professor Nakamura, one of the leading scientist at Cape Canaveral, reveals himself as the mastermind behind the Moon Dancers and uses a special laser weapon against Batman. Superman intervenes and destroys the weapon, ending Nakamura's mad dream. It is then that the Moon Dancers learn that Nakaumra is a survivor from the Hiroshima bombings, who hates nuclear weapons with obvious reasons.
