Synopsis for Superman and Batman: "Plague"

At night at the Gotham Harbor, Batman finds a yacht party, to which he was invited as Bruce Wayne, and is utterly shocked to find all the people aboard the ship dead and turned to skeletons. By the time the Gotham City Police Department arrive at the scene, Batman learns that the most possible cause for this tragedy is a lethal virus and investigating the ship's records, he finds the scrawled words "Green Snow". Meanwhile in Metropolis, Clark Kent and Lana Lang walk through the streets and suddenly green snow starts falling from the sky, weakening everyone in the streets, including the almighty Superman.

Batman continues his investigation and learns that there is a scientist called Fenton Keene, who might have an antidote for such a lethal strain of virus. Meanwhile in Metropolis, the "Alchemist" has demanded millions of dollars in ransom to stop the green snow, or else the entire city will be turned into a graveyard. Superman manages to crawl down to the subway system, where he is sheltered from the green snow and recovers his strength, using it to get away from the city. With his powers back, Superman goes to Gotham City to visit Batman, who has talked to Dr. Keene and requested him to work on the antidote.

In the Batcave, Batman and Superman start working on an antidote for the virus after learning that it was developed using Green Kryptonite, but their efforts seem futile and Batman decides to go to the streets and locates a couple of thugs working for the Alchemist. Upon interrogating them, Batman learns the truth and goes to Keene's place to make him haste on the development of the cure. When Keene turns the TV and learns that Metropolis has died, he gets satisfaction for now the world will need him, just like he always wanted. Batman then calls Keene on the phone and asks him what is the secret to the formula, which the mad doctor gives straight away. Upon hearing the solution, Superman develops the antidote and delivers it to Metropolis, where nobody has died yet. Keene is confused, but Batman goes to his place and tells him that he was tricked by a fake TV news broadcast that he and Commissioner Gordon organized to force him to reveal the antidote, as Batman has deduced that Keene is the Alchemist. With his plan foiled, Keene finally gets the attention he always wanted, as the police comes to arrest him.
