Synopsis for Superman: "The Menace from the Stars!"

An asteroid is on a collission course with Earth. A professor at Metropolis Observatory warns Superman that their spectroscope shows strange elements, possibly a variant of Kryptonite, on the asteroid, but he smashes it into a fixed orbit around the Earth. Superman falls to Earth, striking a tree in Metropolis Park with the force of a lightning bolt. Dazed, he wanders into a group leaving a costumed ball, decides he must have amnesia, finds a suit in the pocket of his cape and puts it on. In the morning he visits the Daily Planet to discover who was at the Artists' Ball and finds that he is Clark Kent, a friend of Superman. On the street, Kent puts on the Superman suit to foil a holdup and finds he's bullet-proof. Then he accidentally breaks a water hydrant and realises he has super strength, apparently from wearing the suit, which also allows him to fly. Later that day, super Kent stops a tidal wave, diverts monster icebergs to an undersea volcano, breaks up a cyclone and herds rain clouds across a mountain. Eventually, he flies up to destroy the orbiting asteroid, which has been causing the weather effects. At home, Kent decides to reveal the truth to the world: Superman is dead. On his way to submit the story, he is hit by a truck and falls onto high-tension wires. When he realises this means he is Superman, he tells Perry White that a side effect of Clark Kent's amnesia meant he thought someone else was masquerading as Superman.

Synopsis for Batman: "The Secret Weapons of the Crimesmith!"

A criminal with an amazing ability for creating mechanical objects is captured by Batman and sentenced to 20 years in prison. However, his contributions to the prison's workshop grant him an early parole and once free, he decides to start a new crime spree using some of his most creative inventions. During this spree of crimes, the criminal becomes known as the Crimesmith and he terrorizes Gotham City from his secret hideout, the "Crimecave". Batman and Robin investigate the case and discover that the crime cave is not a cave, but instead it's located on the rooftop of a building, where the crimesmith starts a fake broadcast to terrorize the people of Gotham and steal from them while they are in chaos. While Robin tries to calm down the people of Gotham, Batman goes to the crimecave and captures the Crimesmith once again, ending his criminal spree.
