Synopsis for Mary Marvel: "Mary Marvel and the Mad Mirror Maze"

Mary hears of numerous disappearances. She goes to a mirror store with her foster-mother but while looking around she is trapped in a Mirror Maze. She finds Dr. Trapp is responsible, wanting to study people's emotions in the maze. Mary transforms and Trapp observes this; he's learned her secret and tells her so. She also is told if she smashes the maze, she will endanger other people trapped there (12 of them). She finds a girl called Sally and helps her out of the Maze by having them both close their eyes and feel their way out. She realizes the way out was in the basement of the mirror shop.

Mary goes in again as Mary Batson, and pays the women working there to take the rest of the day off and let her work in her place. The Manager tells her to polish the mirrors. She tries to find the way into the mirror maze. She is suddenly gagged by Trapp, who binds her and carries her into the Mirror Maze. He leaves her in 'the room of a thousand images', hoping she will go mad from seeing so many reflections. Fumes rising from the floor have paralyzed her eyelids. However Mary breaks a mirror and cuts her gag against one of the pieces of glass. She finds Trapp was watching her through a peephole and discovers he is a disguised Peabody, owner of the store. He had been a famous Psychiatrist but was ousted as a fraud, and now hoped his report on this would bring him fame and honor. Mary frees his other prisoners by shutting her eyes and feeling. When the Police arrest Peabody they discover he has gone mad from being stuck in a room of mirrors when the door stuck.
