Synopsis for "The Ninth Stronghold, Part One: Prison of Industry"

All around the world strange, unexplainable occult events are occurring. Julian Parker has come to Brazil in a failed effort to find a cure for a medical condition but instead finds himself in trouble with an occult organization, The Startling Parade. The coins in his pocket become agitated and warn him about the Dakota Prison of Industry. In Dakota, David Kim (aka Xombi) sits watching tv with his friend Chet Flynn and reflects how different his life has become since nanomachines were injected into his body to save his life. Regretting how they devoured his friend Kelly to work their magic in him, he thinks of how they prevent anything from happening to him internally that would harm his perfect body. He can't get drunk, get sick or age. Julian calls him and asks him to go to the secret prison beneath Dakota and make sure the prisoner kept in the Green House does not escape. He's asked Nun of the Above and Catholic Girl to help out but he doesn't completely trust them. At the prison, David goes below ground and meets up with Nun of the Above (Sister Norma), Catholic Girl (Stacy), Nun the Less (Sister Beatriz) and Father Maxwell. Using his nanites to form a key to open a locked door into the prison they find the nuns' guard, a Rustling Husk, deactivated. The prisoners, shrunk to 1/18th size, are kept in condensed houses, so dense they are almost impossible to break out of. Sister Beatriz uses her shrinking powers to enter the miniature prison and finds all the prisoners dead except the one in the Green House, who is missing. Father Maxwell tells David the prisoner is a college student, James Church, who read an assigned book, "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" and got semicolon cancer from it, causing him to manifest an extremely violent Mr. Hyde persona. Hyde killed Church but kept his body alive. Suddenly they are attacked by deadly Snow Angels, leaving Father Maxwell burnt to a crisp. David engages the light spirits and watches as his arm ignites under their glow. Stacy is able to stabilize them but suddenly they are faced with what looks like costumed children whom Sister Norma reveals as being inhabited by evil spirits.
