Origin
Xtar is an agent of the democracy of Porus, one of the two large countries on the planet Yquem.[1] He stopped on Earth while transporting a gronan from Stoma to the national zoo in order to allow the animal out of its cage. Somehow the dangerous beast escaped from the forcefield around Xtar's ship into the wilds of Australia. While tracking the animal he met and befriended Rex, the Wonder Dog whom he could easily communicate clearly with due to his telepathy.[2]
