Synopsis for "One Small Step, Chapter Five"
The International Space Station capsule lands in Kansas, but immediately explodes, with Agent 355 and Allison Mann only saving one of the three: Ciba Weber. Sadie overhears Agent 355 relaying this to Yorick Brown via walkie talkie. She has a change of heart and releases him from his shackles and tells him that she will instead restrain her commander Yedida Tse'Elon and await punishment for having abducted him and potentially killing the only other men alive.[1]
Yorick tells Agent 355 that he decided to let them be disarmed by Natalya Zamyatin and sends them back to Israel with Sadie in charge to court-martial Yedida. The two bond over discussing their adventure. Meanwhile, Allison Mann talks to Ciba as Heather Hartle and Heidi Hartle attend to her well-being. Ciba's colleagues on the landing vessel insisted that she be saved, knowing that all other men were dead, because she is pregnant.
As Agent 355, Allison, and Yorick plan to get back on the road to California and access Mann's backup laboratory, the Hartles promise to take care of Ciba and her baby and Natalya Zamyatin volunteers to stay as well to keep them safe.
As the Israelis depart, they disavow Jennifer Brown. At the same time, her daughter Hero enters her office.
