Synopsis for "Widow's Pass, Part I"
In Arizona, the far-right Sons of Arizona burn an American flag and plot against the Union. Nearby, Agent 355, Ampersand, Yorick Brown, and Allison Mann walk in the desert toward Mann's backup laboratory in San Francisco. Agent 355 fires a shotgun to scare away some hungry dogs and it brings them to the attention of local gas station owner P. J., who immediately recognizes that Yorick is a man.
Back in her garage, she explains that the Sons of Arizona have violently cut off this territory from the control of the federal government, fueled by conspiracy theories that the gendercide was a plot orchestrated by the feds. She offers them a truck from her fleet to avoid the terrorists. Agent 355 and Allison argue about which route to take until Allison storms out of the garage.
As they bunk up to sleep, Yorick has a nightmare that his fiancee Beth Deville is viciously killed by a monster and he is unable to save her. He is awakened by Agent 355 asking for Allison's whereabouts. Down the road, she has approached the Sons of Arizona to make a deal.
