Synopsis for "The Obituarist"
Waverly leads a splinter group of Daughters of the Amazon who are not dedicated to a religious cult, but working and supporting one another in Virginia as gravediggers. She comes across prostitute Bobbi who joins them. The duo head into the sewers on a contract to find a woman whose husband died there, but they are called up for a special mission by the president: they need to dispose of the body of secretary Jennifer Brown.
When they get to her office, Waverly sees a photo of Yorick Brown and insists that she has seen him since the gendercide. She takes the job and that night, she discusses how to honor the assignment with Bobbi. She decides on a state funeral, with a horse-drawn carriage that has an American flag draped over her casket. As they leave, they see something miraculous: rats have survived the gendercide.
