Synopsis for "Cycles (Part I of V)"
Agent 355, Ampersand, Yorick Brown, and Allison Mann bribe their way onto a train headed out of Boston to get to Mann's backup laboratory in California, in the hopes that they can discover what caused the mass gendercide of all males and how Ampersand and Yorick survived. They are attacked by the Freight Train Riders of America, a gang of violent hobos and have to jump off the train.
The Daughters of the Amazon are in pursuit, including Hero Brown, who has an emotional breakdown from having to kill a woman to prove her loyalty.[1] They encounter a Russian woman explaining in broken English that men from space are coming to Kansas and Victoria has her sent away, assuming she is crazy. Another woman reports seeing a man in a gas mask with a monkey and this leads Hero to suspect that her brother is still alive.
In rural Ohio, a woman comes across Yorick, lying knocked out in a field.
