Yggdrasil is the Tree of Life, which protects all living beings on Earth.
History
When a dark and alien power came to Earth in order to cause a crisis, Yggdrasil awoke and granted its direct blessing to Leonard Lewis. Through Lewis, now known as Green Lantern, Yggdrassil fights the taint of the Sapphire of Ranagar. When Reverend Darrk created a team of maliciously powered people, Yggdrassil enacted a plan to power several people in defense of justice. Yggdrassil created the Justice League of America.
