Denial is an episode of season 1 of Young Justice. It premiered on February 18, 2011.
Synopsis for "Denial"
Abra Kadabra abducts Kent Nelson from a false psychic's shop in New Orleans, Louisiana. He and Klarion the Witch-Boy tortured Nelson, trying to retrieve the Helmet of Fate. Twenty-three days after Nelson's disappearance, Red Tornado alerts Young Justice to the situation, sending them to Salem to find the missing centenarian. Aqualad, using the key to the Tower of Fate, leads the team into the previously invisible structure. An apparition of Kent Nelson appears, asking the strangers to explain their presence. Kid Flash, a magic non-believer, lied to the apparition, saying that they were true believers searching for Doctor Fate. Due to his lie, a pit of lava opened beneath their feet, nearly destroying the team. Miss Martian told the truth, saying Red Tornado sent them to see if Nelson and the Helmet of Fate were safe. Kid Flash admitted that he does not believe in magic and tried to explain everything using science. He and Artemis both grabbed Nelson's walking stick, transporting the duo to Nelson and leaving Aqualad, Miss Martian, and Super Boy in a snowy pocket dimension. Young Justice was reunited and immediately attacked by Abra Kadabra and Klarion. Nelson summoned the Helmet of Fate, but was killed by Klarion before he could wear it. Kid Flash put it on, becoming the host to Doctor Fate. Doctor Fate and Klarion battled. Doctor Fate banished Klarion by attacking his familiar, Teekl. Doctor Fate did not want to relinquish Kid Flash's body so he could restore order to the world. The spirit of Nelson, however, struck a bargain with Nabu, the spirit within the helmet, stating that Kid Flash would put the helmet to good use and his spirit would stay with Nabu in the helmet to keep him company. Kid Flash, still not truly believing in magic stored the Helmet with his other souvenirs.
