Yz the Thunderbolt was Johnny Thunder's invisible pink anthropomorphic, thunderbolt-shaped magic genie, who can do almost anything if it has a human guide to steer it. In recent years, many other potential heroes have become the Thunderbolt's master, first Mike Dugan and later Jakeem Williams, who currently works with the Justice Society of America.

- Exact Command: Thunderbolt is limited by only being able to execute Jakeem's (or originally, Johnny's) exactly worded order. He must always follow the orders to the letter if the user speaks a slang when giving an order, he will interpret it literally.

- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the television series Stargirl and is an adaptation of Yz the Thunderbolt. The original character was created by John B. Wentworth and Stan Aschmeier and first appeared in Flash Comics #1.
- Yz the Thunderbolt was voiced by Jim Gaffigan in season 2 and by Seth Green in season 3.
