Zachary Zatara is a teenage stage magician and sorcerer, member of the Teen Titans and the Coven of Three. He is also the cousin of Zatanna and the nephew of Giovanni Zatara. Like his family, Zachary uses their traditional method of spell-casting, which involves speaking words and sentences backwards.
Zachary Zatara was based on the Kingdom Come universe's Zatara, created by Mark Waid and Alex Ross and first appearing in Kingdom Come #2 (1996). His first appearance as part of the mainstream DC Universe was in Teen Titans (Volume 3) #34 (2006), by Geoff Johns and Tony S. Daniel.
