Zatanna was a former stage magician and superheroine. Her severed desiccated hand still has her magic powers.

History

At some point during Barbatos's invasion, Zatanna was killed. Her hand was kept by the Batman Who Laughs in the wrecked Hall of Justice, or "Ha of Justice". When the Justice League arrived, the Batman Who Laughs used her hand to recite magic spells to incapacitate them. However, he was burned to death by Joker, who had been turned into a Joker Dragon, and the hand was incinerated as well.
