Zeus is the king of the Olympians, against whom Ares is rebelling.
History
Zeus is losing power due to lack of worshipers and offers Diana the same powers and immortality her mother has in exchange for her aiding him in his intended genocide of mortals, and subjugation with regularly scheduled sacrifices of the remnants of humanity. He is extremely offended when she declines and attempts to kill her for it.
