General Zod was a Kryptonian warrior.
History
Zod's consciousness was one of the many stored in the Eradicator before the destruction of Krypton. His friend Zeta-Rho sent his son Tal-Rho to Earth ahead of the Eradicator, planning to use it to recreate Krypton on Earth.
Tal-Rho eventually found the Eradicator, and used it to transfer Zod's mind into Superman's body. He battled John Henry Irons, but Irons was able to reach Superman and Superman destroyed Zod's consciousness within himself.[1]

- This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the Arrowverse and is an adaptation of General Zod. The original character was created by Robert Bernstein and George Papp and first appeared in Adventure Comics #283.
- Zod's true form never appeared on-screen but he was portrayed by Tyler Hoechlin when possessing Superman's body.
